With lots of stuff in the aft cabin, it can be quite a chore to get the tank cover off to access the tank or the back of the engine. To make it easier, I split the cover into two parts. Now I only have to remove a small cover for most of the things I need to do.
I added a small hardwood board to the under side of the piece that will remain in place most of the time. This provides support to the other one that gets the most use.
