During our pre-purchase survey, our inspector turned on the galley faucet, and we heard water flowing somewhere it shouldn’t. When we removed the drawer below and looked in, the culprit was pretty obvious. One of the drains was broken off. Also, the drain fittings in the sink were in pretty bad shape.
Since I was going to have it all apart anyway, I ordered new drains from Catalina Direct for both sinks, and new hose to run to the through-hull.
I still have not figured out the magic sequence for removing and installing those drain fittings. With enough fiddling, I finally got them tightened back in place, and new hose installed.
Now it drains well, looks good, and the semi-transparent hose lets us see if there is any blockage.
