The refrigerator lid was missing insulation on one half and the other was cracked. To fix this, I ordered new insulation containers from Catalina Direct, and filled them with expanding foam. This turned out to be harder that it appeared.
On the first one I filled, I did it all at once, and this caused several issues:
- It did not want to cure in the middle and stayed semi-liquid for quite a while
- As it expanded, it deformed the container
- It expanded well above the container and had to be trimmed down
On the second one, I did one layer at a time, and it worked much better.
