Electronic Fridge Thermostat

I always found it frustrating trying to guess what number from 0-7 on dial would give me the temperature I wanted in the main fridge area. The old thermostat was the kind that senses the temperature on the side of the evaporating unit, which has very little correlation to the temp in the main fridge box.

To solve this, I purchased a thermostat that is often used in the craft beer world, and put the sensor in the top center of the fridge. Now I can precisely control the temperature at that location. The fridge still has warmer and colder areas, but it is much more predictable. We have several thermometers placed around the fridge, and we have learned to work with the different temperature zones for different kinds of foods.
