I added a detachable cargo net across the opening above the bilge access.
I bought one from Amazon that was meant for the trunk of a car. Then we gathered up the excess netting and sewed it in place so it didn’t flop, tied knots in the shock cord to take up the excess length, and installed 4 tie-down loops to attach it.
Now we have a great place for everyone to stow their bags during the sail, and it all stays well contained.
